Robin Hood Airport parking wins police approval
28.12.11
Robin Hood Airport parking has been praised by the South Yorkshire Police’s safer parking scheme. Chief Superintendent Tim Innes visited the airport to present the safer parking award.
The scheme was set up by the Association of Chief Police Officers to reduce crime and the fear of crime in parking areas. The Park Mark safer parking award is granted to parking areas that have passed the risk assessment carried out by police officers and meet specific guidelines.
Airport bosses say being awarded the Park Mark means the airport has put in place measures that will help to deter criminal activity, and that it provides a safe and secure environment, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, covering all its 400 airport parking spaces.
