Contractor sought for Robin Hood Airport link road

Work on the new link road between Robin Hood Airport and the M18 motorway could start next summer after
Doncaster Country Council began its search for a contractor to build the 4.4km Finningley and Rossington Regeneration Route Scheme, or FARRRS as it is otherwise known, after securing funding earlier in the year.
The £50m road scheme won Government cash for its potential to encourage further development of Robin Hood Airport, the Strategic Rail Freight Interchange proposal adjacent to Junction 3 of the M18, as well as the reclamation of Rossington Colliery, where a new 'eco-village' will be built.
