New director at Robin Hood Airport

Peel Airports Limited have announce the appointment of the new Director at Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield. Steve Gill, currently Group Environment and Facilities Director for Peel Airports, will take charge of the airport from September 1.
As Airport Director, he will be responsible for planning, directing and managing the day to day operations of both Robin Hood and Durham Tees Valley Airports, under the direction of the Peel Airports Chief Operating Officer and with support from the wider Peel Airports team. He has almost 30 years’ experience in the aviation industry and has extensive expertise in airport planning and management.
A spokesman for Peel Airports revealled that Mr Gill knows Robin Hood Airport well, having played a key role in the planning and delivery of the UK’s first new full service commercial airport in 50 years, as the airport was developed from the former RAF Finningley. During his career with Peel Airports, he has also held responsibility for a wide range of services including IT, property management, health and safety, corporate and social responsibility along with various outsourced service contracts.
