Ryanair launch Robin Hood - Alicante route

Ryanair has launched a new three-times weekly route between Robin Hood Airport and Alicante on Spain's popular Costa Blanca. The airline expects to carry 40,000 passengers on the new route over the next 12 months, adding to the 350,000 customers already carried by the Irish budget airline from the airport.
A Ryanair pointed out Alicante's many attractions, including 'beaches stretching for kilometres, countless sightseeing attractions and a wealth of shops and boutiques with something to suit every shopper.' The region is popular with British travellers owning a second home abroad, is known for its top-quality golf courses and is a year-round destination.
