Robin Hood Airport celebrate 4 millionth passengers

A lucky couple started their holiday to Ibiza in style when they were the 4 millionth passengers to fly from Robin Hood Airport. Georgina and Bob Allen, from Chesterfield, were heading for a week in Ibiza with one year old daughter Ruby when they were greeted with champagne at the check-in.
Mrs Allen said: ‘This was a lovely surprise. Robin Hood Airport is our local airport and we have both flown from here before. It’s great to have such a fantastic facility so nearby. We will be looking out to see where we can go to next year from Robin Hood.’
Jodi Stow, Marketing and Communications Manager for Robin Hood Airport, said: ‘This is a major milestone and we were really pleased that Mr and Mrs Allen could help us to celebrate. It sounds like they enjoyed their experience of travelling from Robin Hood Airport which is what we are aiming for.'
