Drugs arrest at Robin Hood Airport

A man was arrested after a joint operation involving Doncaster Police, a drugs search dog, HM Customs and Robin Hood Airport staff was carried out on Saturday July 28.
The day long operation checked arriving and departing passengers using the Police Drugs search dog. Any persons who were indicated to have been in contact with illegal drugs were detained and searched, either by Police or by HM Customs.
A 39 year old male attempting to board a flight to Alicante was detained by Police after the dog indicated he had been in contact with illegal drugs. A substantial amount of Class A drugs were found secreted on his person. He was bailed pending further enquiries.
