Minister to hear Robin Hood Airport link road plans
14.07.06
Plans for a link road between the M18 and the new Robin Hood Airport are to take another step forward.
Doncaster Council bosses are optimistic that work will begin on the much heralded link road in 2009. It is seen as vital to the success of the airport, the economic regeneration of the borough and the quality of life of people living in the rural villages to the south east of the borough.
Delegates from the council, led by Mayor Martin Winter, have been granted a meeting with Transport Minister Stephen Ladyman next week. They will argue the case for goverment support for a new link road.
