Passengers up 6.4% at Robin Hood Airport

Passengers at Robin Hood Airport were 6.4 percent up on the previous year last month. Just over 67,800 people passenger through the terminal during February.
The airport will celebrate three years of operation in April, and continues its expansion. Robin Hood Airport already serves almost 50 destinations across the globe, including new Polish routes to Katowice, Gdansk, Poznan, Wroclaw and Warsaw, as well as daily flights to Dublin with Ryanair.
The top five routes in February 2008 were:
Alicante (Thomsonfly & Ryanair)
Dublin (Ryanair)
Malaga (Thomsonfly)
Tenerife (Thomsonfly)
Katowice / Cracow (Wizz Air)
Peel Airport's Group Airport Director, Hugh Lang, said: ‘We’re happy to report the growth in passenger throughput year on year, which demonstrates the continued impact Robin Hood Airport has on the airport region. We’re looking ahead to new routes opening over the next few months including Polish capital Warsaw, and holiday flights to Heraklion in Crete.'
