Regional airline Flybe, who are taking over the Robin Hood Airport - to Jersey flights in the Spring when Thomsonfly withdraw from the route, was announced that it will operate double the number of flights originally planed.
Flybe was due to fly once a week - each Saturday - from Robin Hood Airport to the island when it takes over the service at the end of the winter schedule. However, the airline now said it will put on two flights a week - each Saturday and Wednesday - from May 3, because of consumer demand.
