Business aviation firm relocates to Robin Hood Airport
09.03.10
A company that maintains, services and repairs corporate jets has moved in to Robin Hood Airport Business Park thanks to an upturn in business during the current recession. Kinch Aviation, run by Paul and Deborah Kinch, has relocated to Hangar 2 at the airport from Gamston Airport, in Nottinghamshire.
Paul Kinch said: ‘As the market for new private jets has declined during the recession, the market for maintenance, service, and repair of these aircraft has seen a dramatic increase. As a result we needed to find a new base for our business to grow into.'
‘The decision to relocate to Robin Hood Airport was an easy one, as the airport has all the necessary infrastructure a busy jet centre needs to operate effectively. Our new home in Hangar 2 offers the operating hours to suit our multinational customers, and a very helpful team at the airport and Directions Finningley all contributed to the move.’
The company was started in 2001 to provide high quality support of Business Aircraft in the North of England and today provides services for over 50 aircraft from across Europe and as far afield as Moscow and South Africa. Kinch Aviation was appointed as a Cessna Citation Authorised Service Centre in 2008 once they had completed a large investment in training, spares and tooling. It has grown rapidly over the last five years and now employs a local workforce of highly skilled engineers. Specialising in the Cessna Citation range of Corporate Jets it employ 15 engineers and has 4 apprentices.
