Job losses at Robin Hood Airport

Nine workers at Robin Hood Airport have lost their jobs after a review of the operation as the global downturn takes effect. Friday was the last working day for the staff who were given redundancy notices a fortnight ago.
The nine staff members all worked in the airport's Terminal Services department, which is responsible for assisting passengers around the terminal building. Their duties will be performed by other departments as a result of the review and there will be no impact to levels of customer service for passengers, a spokesman said.
