Robin Hood Airport celebrated its first transatlantic scheduled flight last week. The first flight from Robin Hood to Toronto, Canada took off last Tuesday and marked the launch of a weekly Flyglobespan service.
Seats were sold out for the first flight, which arrives at Hamilton Airport, Toronto's smaller hub. Airport managing director David Ryall said: 'Robin Hood is the only airport serving Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire to have direct flights to Canada, and we hope to see many more Flyglobespan routes over the coming months.'
