Thomsonfly to offer Robin Hood Airport - Amsterdam flights
02.11.05
South Yorkshire's business fraternity are expected to be major users of a new daily service between Amsterdam and Robin Hood Airport Doncaster. Thomsonfly will operate an evening flight between the tow cities every day except Saturday, starting on Friday (November 4).
Thomsonfly's marketing director, Maria Heckel, says the opportunities for business trips from Robin Hood have been limited so far, with the services to Paris and Jersey the only obvious destinations for the region's executives.
'All that will change with the new service. Amsterdam is a major European hub and opens up the world to South Yorkshire's business leaders. In addition the city itself is a recognised business centre and we think the new flights will become favourites for work as well as leisure,' she said.
The company will operate Boeing 737-300 aeroplanes on the new routes, with 148 seats. The Thomsonfly service offers way one way tickets to Schipol for £19.99 including taxes and charges.
This week Thomsonfly added not just Amsterdam, but Lyon in France, Tenerife and Gran Canaria to its list of destinations. For more information visit www.thomsonfly.com.
