Crash landing at Robin Hood Airport

Emergency services were called to Robin Hood Airport yesterday after a light aircraft crash landed. The plane is understood to have been on a training flight from Leeds Bradford Airport when the front wheel collapsed on landing just after 10:00.
Police say there were two people on board the aircraft, neither of whom was hurt during the landing. However, the incident blocked the main runway for around one and a half hours, causing a flight from Dublin to be delayed, though not diverted.
The Department of Transport's Air Accident Investgation Branch has been notified.
