Prestwick Airport passengers down 28%

153,837 passengers used Prestwick Airport in September, 28% less than last year, but 'a small improvement on a disappointing trend' the airport said.
The result reflects Ryanair capacity reductions and the continuing weak aviation market. Load factors were generally strong on the 1,183 flights that operated through the airport, and the four new Ryanair ‘sun routes’ that launched this week had positive forward sales.
