Prestwick Airport passengers down

The number of passengers using Prestwick Airport over the Easter weekend has fallen compared to last year, the Ayrshire Post reports. Around 30,000 people were expected to use the airport, down on the same time last year.
Airport officials insist that the loss of charter flights from Seguro Holidays and the economic downturn are responsible for the fall in passenger numbers. The most popular destinations from Prestwick this Easter included Derry, Gothenburg, Shannon and Stansted.
