First Choice announce East Midlands - Cuba route

First Choice has announced a new route between East Midlands Airport and Cuba starting next year, the cheapflights.co.uk website reports. The holiday airline will launch a service from to Varadero's Juan Gualberto Gomez Airport, which also serves the province of Matanzas, with fortnightly flights beginning on May 13, 2007.
Prospective holidaymakers can look forward to an 'exotic blend of rich culture' and will also be able to sample the 'magnificent coral reefs, turquoise waters and powder white shores,' according to the airport.
First Choice is offering both traditional package breaks and twin centre holidays. Prices start at £849, which is based on two adults staying at the Barcelo Solymar resort on the Varadero beach.
