Passengers return to East Midlands Airport after plane delays

Almost 500 holidaymakers returned to East Midlands Airport yesterday after being delayed by plane trouble in Turkey and Egypt.
Around 200 passenger were delayed in Turkey for more than 24 hours. The Excel flight from Dalaman had been due to leave on Monday but the flight was delayed due to technical problems.
Another 248 people had been due to fly into East Midlands Airport from Egypt on Tuesday morning. The Thomsonfly flight was also delayed due to technical problems but passengers arrived back yesterday.
