This weeks new routes round up
12.02.06
Among the routes announced this week were new flights to Europe from Ryanair and the first spring sales by both Ryanair and easyJet.
Nottingham East Midlands Airport to Poland and France:
The biggest route expansion this week undoubtedly came from Ryanair. Europe's biggest budget airline launched inaugural flights to four new destinations from Nottingham East Midlands Airport, as it seeks to establish the hub as a rival to Birmingham.
Flights to Bergerac and Limoges in France are both now on offer, with flights to Lodz and Wroclaw also debuting this week.
Bournemouth Airport to Pisa:
Ryanair also announced it would begin flights to the Tuscan town of Pisa from Bournemouth airport. The three times-a-week service begins on June 8, with one-way fares starting from £3.99 excluding taxes.
Edinburgh and Newcastle Airport to Bergen:
SAS owned low cost airline Widerøe added two UK services to Bergen in Norway to its schedule. Flights from Newcastle and Edinburgh will begin from March 27 with one-way tickets including taxes and charges starting from around £65.
Southampton Airport to Isle of Man:
Domestic fliers didn't miss out either this week as Eastern Airways announced it would begin a service linking Southampton with the Isle of Man in March. Flights will begin daily (except Saturdays) from March 6, with return fares starting from £99 including taxes.
Liverpool Airport to Galway:
Aer Arann became the latest in a long line of airlines to announce a new route expansion at Liverpool's John Lennon Airport. A four times a week service between John Lennon Airport and Galway will commence from April 10.
