The popularity of East Midlands Airport is continuing to grow, with 440,000 people using the hub last month. This represents a 16 percent increase in passenger numbers on last year and comes on the back of the airport's busiest-ever April.
Among the most popular destinations for people flying from East Midlands airport were Dublin, Malaga, Palma, Alicante and Rome. British Airways announced a low-cost, three times weekly service from East Midlands to Tenerife earlier this week, operating under the BA Connect banner.
