Cocaine seized at Nottingham East Midlands Airport

Five kilos of cocaine has been seized at Nottingham East Midlands Airport. The drugs were contained in a package sent from Venezuela to a London address concealed inside four encyclopaedias.
The cocaine, which has an estimated street value of £200,000, was found by officers from HM Revenue and Customs who were working at the airport. The inside of each book had a rectangular shape cut out of it and packages containing the cocaine were taped inside.
It has been reported that the revenue and customs officers at the airport are extremely pleased with the operation and are working to reduce the amount of class A drugs available in the UK.
