Plans for aerospace business park at Nottingham Airport

Plans are being submitted for a major business park development at a small airport near Nottingham. Nottingham Airport, run by Truman Aviation, has three small airstrips. The firm wants to create a £30m Aerospace Enterprise park on the site.
Airport spokesman Derek Leatherhead said the project, if approved, would bring between 600 and 800 jobs to the area. The 300,000 sq ft aerospace park would include an extended runway, but only light aircraft and executive-style aircraft would use the facilities, Mr Leatherhead said.
