Norwich Airport parking charges defended

The new managing director of Norwich Airport, Elliott Summers, has defended the airport’s car parking charges, which he insists compare favourably with those at both Stansted and Luton.
He told the Express: ‘Contrary to local common perception, Norwich Airport short stay car parking is much cheaper than both Luton and Stansted. At Luton they charge £1 to simply drop-off, £3 for up to 15 minutes, £6 for up to 45 minutes and so on using a sliding scale up to £30 a day.’ For the record, at Norwich Airport the first 5 minutes is free, 15 minutes costs 50p, an hour £3 and a day £15 at the short stay car park.
