New business jet centre for Norwich Airport

A £6m business aviation centre is planned for Norwich Airport. Norwich-based aircraft charter company SaxonAir is to build the centre to provide better facilities for its business travellers, as well as more administration space to allow it to grow.
The company helps move executives, celebrities and rock and pop stars around the country and Europe. The planned three-storey building will go between two new aircraft hangers already under construction and will bring together all of its operations at the airport. It is currently using temporary buildings, which will be removed when the new building is ready.
The development will house the company's fleet of five fixed-wing planes plus helicopters. The ground floor of the business aviation centre will have a passenger reception area and VIP passenger lounge for SaxonAir's own private jet fleet, which can also cater for other private and business aviation flights into the airport.
The first floor will contain new offices for SaxonAir's flight operations and support staff, with facilities for flight crews and air crew training rooms. The second floor is likely to be leased by another company already at the airport, at least in the short term, but offers space for the company to grow.
