Flybe passenger numbers up 27%

Low cost airline Flybe has reported a 27 percent increase in passenger numbers in December compared with the same period a year earlier. The airline, which flies from Norwich Airport to destinations such as Edinburgh, Malaga, Alicante and Jersey, said the growth was driven by the opening of new routes and an increase in flights.
Flybe carried 352,915 passengers last month, compared with 278,089 in December 2004. As well as Norwich International, the airline flies from airports across the UK including Exeter, Birmingham and Southampton.
