Helicopter emergency at Norwich Airport
05.06.07
The emergency services were called to Norwich Airport on Sunday after a twin-engine helicopter with 10 people on board reported a possible fire.
An engine on the Bristow's S76 Sikorsky Spirit helicopter was shut down after a warning light indicated a fire. However, the helicopter landed safely and a spokesman for Bristow's said there was no fire and that the problem was due to an electrical fault.
The aircraft was returning to Norwich from a North Sea oil platform. It had eight passengers on board and two crew.
