Norwich Airport brings in £3 passenger fee
03.04.07
Passengers flying out of Norwich Airport are being charged a fee of up to £3 to help fund expansion and new facilities after the new levy was introduced yesterday.
Managers at Norwich Airport say the Airport Development Fee (ADF) will be invested in improvements to the runway and customer services. The airport is currently undergoing an £18m redevelopment project.
The charge, introduced yesterday, is payable on departure. Adults pay £3 whilst children aged between two and 15 pay £1. Children under two are free. Passengers must buy a ticket from machines managed by airport parking company NCP or they will be denied boarding of their flight.
