Norwich Airport tops lost bag performance

Passengers travelling via Norwich Airport stand less change of loosing their luggage than at major airports. Unlike airports such as Heathrow, Norwich loses 6 bags per 1000 a year, most of which are returned to their rightful owner on the next flight. By comparison Heathrow saw 26.5 missing bags per 1000 last year.
A spokesman for Norwich Airport put its success down partly to the scale of its operation, with - luggage and tagged bags only travelling through one area of the airport, which reduced the likelihood of them going missing. Head of marketing Louise Wilkinson said: 'We're not on the scale of Heathrow and so don't have the same kinds of problems.’
