Flybe name plane after Keegan
29.06.08
Kevin Keegan is ready for take-off, the People reports. The Newcastle United gaffer has had a Q400 aircraft named after him by regional budget airline Flybe.
The plane, which has been registered under the name Kkev (for ‘King Kev’), will make its debut on the Newcastle Airport to London route on Thursday when it takes off at 13:20. Keegan joins a list of footballers who have had planes named after them by the airline including the late George Best (Belfast to London) and, Matt Le Tissier (Southampton to Guernsey).
