Newcastle Airport reveal top destinations

As the schools break up and the busy summer peak starts, Newcastle Airport has revealed the top 10 destinations for people flying out of the city - Spanish holiday destinations dominating the charts. The top three destinations are all from the sun-soaked country which has six destinations in the top 10.
Every week this summer around 115,000 passengers will travel to or from 80 destinations, accounting for 200 departures and arrivals every day. Palma, Malaga and Alicante make up the top three slots in the destinations chart, but jetsetters are also opting to head to cheaper resorts in Turkey, or all-inclusive packages in Dubai.
