easyJet Newcastle - Menorca flights take off

easyJet has launched a twice weekly summer service between Newcastle Airport and Mahon in Menorca. The flights - which operate on Wednesday and Saturday - will run until September 8, with fares beginning at £19.99 one-way, including taxes. The budget airline expects to carry more than 5,000 passengers on the route this summer.
On Wednesdays, flights leave Newcastle at 15:00 and arrive in Menorca at 18:45. On the way back, flights leave Mahon at 19:25 and get back to the UK at 21:20. On Saturdays, flights leave Newcastle at 16:45, arriving at 20:30. Returning, flights leave at 21:05 and get back to Newcastle at 23:00 (all times local).
Other destinations offered by easyJet from Newcastle include Barcelona, Faro and Geneva.
