Newcastle – Alicante flights announced

Jet2 has announced a new winter route to Alicante from Newcastle Airport. The flights will take off up to three times per week for the winter period from November until 25 March 2012. Due to increased popularity of its winter sun destinations from Newcastle, the budget airline has also added an additional Saturday service to Tenerife starting November 2011.
Ian Doubtfire, managing director of Jet2, said: ‘With an average of 325 days of sunshine in Alicante each year, it is not surprising that this is a fantastically popular winter sun destination all year round. We are delighted to be able to extend our Alicante operation into the coming winter season.’
Jet2 flies to 22 destinations from Newcastle: Alicante, Chambery, Corfu, Cork, Crete, Cyprus, Dalaman, Faro, Geneva, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, Krakow, Lanzarote, Majorca, Malaga, Menorca, Murcia, Pisa, Prague, Rhodes, Tenerife and Toulouse.
