Snow hits Newcastle Airport flights

Newcastle Airport flights have been affected by the heavy snow, which has been falling across the North East. Several flights were cancelled, while others were subject to delays.
A spokesman for the airport said: ‘Weather conditions in the region affected a number of departing and arriving flights. Many flights operated as normal. However, there were a number of cancellations and diversions.’
