Manchester Airport to get new boss
30.01.12
Manchester Airport is to get a new boss after a management shakeup at parent company MAG, the MEN reports. The airport's current managing director, Andrew Harrison, has been promoted to the role of chief operating officer for the airport group, which also includes East Midlands, Bournemouth and Humberside airports. He replaces from Penny Coates, who is stepping down but will remain as a non-executive director.
Other changes have been made to MAG's senior leadership team, which is headed by chief executive Charlie Cornish, with Neil Thompson being made chief financial officer and Andy Cliffe becoming the new managing director of assets and infrastructure. It is reported that the shake-up was made following a review of the way that the group operates, with some roles and departments centralised rather than dispersed to the groups airports.
There seems to be no announcement on who the new boss for Manchester Airport will be at this time.
