Qatar Airways to cut Manchester flights
30.01.12
Qatar Airways is to cut the number of flights from Manchester Airport when it launches its summer schedule in late March. At the same time it will boost its service from Heathrow, where it has just opened its first premium passenger lounge outside of its home base in Doha.
The airline, which currently offers a double daily service from Manchester, is axing four flights a week from March 25, over the summer season. There is no confirmation as to whether the flights will return next winter. The airline faces strong competition from Abu Dhabi's Etihad, which flies double daily to the middle east, and Dubai airline Emirates, the most established of the trio at Manchester Airport, which operates three flights a day.
