After 30 years service, Madge Butler of Crowne Plaza Manchester Airport, has won the Manchester Tourism Award for Customer Service. The judges were impressed with her consistent level of unparalleled customer care at the recently refurbished hotel, as well as her 100 percent attendance over the past two years.
Madge is a firm favourite with staff and guests alike, and has received hundreds of accolades for her attentiveness, via customer feedback. One family was particularly impressed when on their second visit, Madge instantly recognised and greeted them. And when another guest missed the laundry service for the day, Madge offered to take the urgent load home and delivered it back clean and pressed.
She said: ‘I absolutely love my job and really try to make all our guests at Crowne Plaza Manchester Airport enjoy their time with us. The hotel has had millions of pounds spent on it so it has never looked better, but I think the important thing is to make every guest feel like a million dollars – that’s the key.’
General Manager Janet Richardson is also very impressed. She said: ‘Customer service is pivotal to our success and Madge really does walk the talk. She is one of the great characters of Manchester Airport and a much-loved member of our team.’
