Manchester named airport of the year

Manchester Airport was named ‘airport of the year’ at the Travel Trade Gazette Awards, voted for by travel agents and independent industry observers. The airport beat Luton, Southampton and Birmingham airports to pick up the gong.
Andrew Cornish, Manchester Airport’s managing director said: ‘We are extremely proud to have secured such a highly acclaimed award. It is a real tribute to the efforts of the 19,000 people who work at Manchester Airport.’
