Manchester Airport hotel offers Coronation Street favourite
23.12.10
Travellers who are fans of Coronation Street are being given the chance to try Betty's Hot Pot at a Manchester Airport hotel. The famous meal is being sold for charity at the Crown Plaza Manchester Airport, where it has been added to the menu to raise money for the show's 50th Anniversary Appeal.
Brendan Hennessey, the hotel's manager, said ‘We wanted to celebrate the anniversary of Coronation Street and help to raise money for its charity appeal, so we came up with the hot pot idea.’
Guests at the hotel will be able to eat the limited edition delicacy, which has been made by Holland's Pies, for £5.50. Money from the sales of the pies will benefit The Christie, the NSPCC and Cancer Research UK, all charities picked by the cast.
