Snow closes Manchester and Birmingham Airports

Birmingham and Manchester airports were closed today following fresh snowfall. The airports were shut at around 07:00 due to concerns about the condition of the runway after several inches of snow fell overnight.
Both airports reopened during the morning. Some flights from the East Midlands were also delayed this morning, and Leeds Bradford Airport was closed for a period.
