Manchester Airport Bank Holiday strike

Ground staff at Manchester Airport have voted to strike over the August Bank Holiday weekend. The action will involve more than 300 workers, affecting the cleaning, refuelling and baggage-handling departments during one of the summer's busiest periods.
The Unite union said the action is in support of improved pay offers to some of the airport's lowest paid workers. A spokesman for Manchester Airport said it should not cause ‘major disruption’ as many workers for the companies involved in the dispute were not union members.
