A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight to Manchester made an unscheduled landing in Warsaw, Poland after a woman gave birth on board the aircraft. The flight from Islamabad was diverted to Warsaw's Okecie Airport after the Pakistani woman experienced labour pains and a doctor on board the aircraft helped deliver the three month premature baby, officials said.
The aircraft landed in Warsaw after the doctor said the newborn baby's condition was not stable and it needed needed hospital treatment. The mother and child were rushed to hospital and the flight continued its journey to Manchester after a stopover of more than two hours.
