bmi announce Manchester - Venice charter flight

bmi is to operate a charter flight between Manchester Airport and Venice from this summer. The flight will connect passengers with the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Splendour of the Seas, which will be based in the Italian city.
Tim McDermott, Manchester Airport’s director of aviation development, said: ‘We are pleased to announce this new service. Passengers are increasingly adventurous with their choice of holiday, and we are thrilled to have this exclusive bmi direct flight now at Manchester Airport making getting onboard Splendour of the Seas really easy.'
‘We already offer flights to more destinations than any other UK airport, and this new flight proves we are continuing to add new and exciting routes to our portfolio all the time.’ The flights will depart each Saturday morning between May and late October 2008.
