16.01.10
Manchester Airport is to embark on its first ever TV campaign - a four week push on ITV Granada and C4 to promote its value airport car park, JetParks. The campaign produced by WRG will see a 'lovable' animated character called Captain Parks will promote JetParks 1 and 2, which both opened last year, and airport parking prices that start from £2.99 a day.
The ads will run from Monday (January 18), in high-profile spots such as those around Coronation Street, Deal or no Deal and This Morning. Andrew Harrison, Manchester Airport’s commercial director, told How Do that his team were ‘very excited to be branching out into TV adverts for the first time.’
