Manchester Airport Hilton sold

The Manchester Airport Hilton is among four Hilton hotels that have been sold by the Royal Bank of Scotland to London property company Marcus Cooper Group, the MEN reports. The deal, which is worth close to £100m in total, will see the hotels continue to be managed by Hilton for a further 11 years.
The other hotels included in the deal, which total 921 rooms, are in Brighton, Warwick and St Anne's Manor in Berkshire. Marcus Cooper Group was founded in 1991 as a residential developer, and has since diversified into the commercial and leisure sectors. A spokesman for the company said: ‘The Hilton purchase represents a significant increase in the group's exposure to to the UK hotels market and reflects Marcus Cooper's access to equity and ability to structure opportunistic transactions quickly and effectively.’
