Campaigner wants compensation for Manchester Airport flights change

An airport campaigner wants compensation for residents who are disturbed when Manchester Airport diverts some night flights for up to 8 months. Veteran campaigner Jeff Gazzard met with Tatton MP George Osborne on Monday to discuss the suggestion.
Mr Gazzard said the Shadow Chancellor wanted to help residents if they were affected when the main runway was closed for refurbishment next year. He said: ‘There are some suggestions and it’s up to us to make them happen.'
