Trains boost for Manchester Airport

Manchester Airport train services have improved over the past year, First Group has revealed. The train company, which operates the First Trans Pennine Express to the hub, said that customer satisfaction with the service was up to 89 percent. In addition, its Manchester Airport services achieved a 92 percent punctuality rate over the year, despite the poor weather in December and January.
First Group increased the number of services to the airport on weekdays last December to cope with increasing demand. And a rise in passenger revenues suggests that more people are taking the train to the hub.
