Manchester Airports Group's external affairs director Jonathan Bailey is to leave the business at the end of the year. Dr Bailey told the Manchester Evening News he is leaving to explore new career opportunities after nine years with MAG, although he hopes to stay within the aviation sector.
Following his departure, his workload will be spread between a number of colleagues. Lobbying work will be taken on by corporate affairs director Neil Robinson, supported by head of public affairs Sarah Brooks. Media relations work will be managed by head of external communications Russell Craig.
A MAG spokesman told the newspaper: ‘Jonathan Bailey has decided to leave MAG after nine years of valuable service including removing Manchester Airport from the burden of economic regulation. We wish him well for the future.’
