11.07.09
Icelandair is to increase the number of flights from Glasgow and Manchester airports from September 2009, HolidayExtras reports. The airline will increase the number of flights to Iceland and and onwards to North American destinations.
Two additional flights will be added to the airline's Glasgow and Manchester schedules, meaning it will operate four flights weekly. Hjövar Saeberg Högnason, general manager UK, said: ‘We are pleased to expand our service from Glasgow and Manchester to Iceland and onwards to our North American destinations. This will provide our passengers with increased convenience and flexibility to travel to Iceland to take advantage of the favourable exchange rate, plus increase the options for connecting onwards to US destinations including New York City, Boston and Seattle.’
