easyJet Manchester flight grounded by football fans fight

Fighting football fans on a flight from Manchester to Germany on their way to watch a Bundesliga game forced an easyJet plane to make an emergency landing, it emerged last night. Two passengers, said to be ‘extremely drunk’, on the easyJet Manchester to Munich flight started fighting and the pilot diverted to Frankfurt.
The pair, aged 24 and 36, were with a group of 12 travelling on Friday for a Bundesliga match on Saturday between German teams Bayern Munich and Schalke 04. They began throwing punches at one another and could not be restrained by cabin crew. The 24-year-old has been detained and will face charges this week.
