08.04.11
Plans for Manchester's £400 million Airport City have been unveiled, with the project possibly creating 10,000 jobs. The 60-acre site to the north of Manchester Airport could help give the region a massive economic boost, with the Government listing it as an enterprise zone in the recent budget.
Manchester Evening News reports that the plans were approved by Manchester Council yesterday. Links are expected to be built between the city and Manchester Airport's Terminal Two, while footpaths, leisure facilities, a hotel and cycle routes could also be built.
